Dear Your Excellency Archbishop P.P. Brennan, President of the International Married Priests’ Now Prelature and to the world Married Priests,

Peace of Christ.

Share with me the sorrow I feel at this stage of the Vatican situation. Whatever is being said about what is happening and has happened is a cause of deep sorrow in my heart. The Pope reiterates his stand on celibacy. We are not quarrelling with celibacy; he is evading the point at issue. We are saying that it was not historically correct to impose celibacy, and to pretend that it was a pillar to priesthood and priestly holiness.

However, I, as a faithful and honest priest of the Roman Catholic Church, cannot accept imposed celibacy on the whole body of the Roman Priesthood. Today, it is well known that celibacy has failed in the Roman Catholic Church. I am sorry to bother you with repetitions which you even know better than I do.

The stealing of the secret documents from the Vatican does not deserve the value they are given to punish the culprit for thirty years of imprisonment. They have fallen in the hands of the people; have been read by thousands and thousands of people. Even by sending the culprit to prison for 30 years will not recover the documents. Certainly, the Vatican is now drunk with evil, and cannot reason properly anymore.

My appeal to you, your Excellency, is that we should not play the role of mad children, who, their anger against their parents who did not share heredity equally to their children, beat them till stripping them naked. It is unforgivable wickedness. Today, the Vatican has been stripped naked. She no more has a good name, neither among her own adherents, nor those outside the church.

However, there are those of us who, despite being thrown away like trash, as useless objects in the service of the church, still uphold the necessity of uprightness of the church. While we acknowledge the weakness of the church, St. Paul in Timothy 3, speaks about what will happen in the last days. There is still more on the way. I therefore appeal to my beloved fellow Married priests, that it is still a bound duty to us to offer sacrifices and prayers for the Roman Catholic Church for the true conversion of those who are governing the Roman Catholic Church under the title of “The Vatican.” The Vatican needs the prayers of us who have undergone undeserved excommunication, laicization, and suspension. With Jesus today, we have to say: “Forgive them for they know not what they are doing.” We may freely add that they know not what they did to us.

Let us not allow ourselves to be narrow-minded. An angry man is not far from being a mad man. We married priests have still our heads in their proper position. We therefore feel that it is at this time, when God will come to our aid as we grope about looking for a proper pole to hold to; when we are swimming in troubled waters. The Church today represents the situation of the Apostles in the boat which was being thrown to and fro by the waves. Fair enough Jesus was with them. They turned to Him and woke Him up crying: “Lord, we are in danger of being drowned, will you not care for our lives?”

Certainly He came on earth to deliver us from all sorts of troubles and problems. Hence, He woke up and just whispered a few words and all was calm. “O Lord Jesus” we pray, “don’t be indifferent to the situation of your church today. We need your physical presence among us. Calm the storm which is attacking your church today. Save us, we pray.”

My dear, very respected President Archbishop P.P. Brennan and fellow Married Priests, I am hereby sharing with you my deep sorrow for the situation of the Roman Catholic Church. We, the considered skeletons, the dry bones, it is for us to save the church through prayers and sacrifices.

Yours Sincerely,

Archbishop E. Milingo
Patriarch of Africa

This time I would like to answer and I do also in public.

There is love and love, but there is only one charity: that of Christ and of His Catholic Church.

They who have sacred function of the hierarchical guide on the theological matter in the Holy Roman Apostolic Catholic Church they can not count on being at the same time similars or equals with reference in their duties with duties of those who are guided and that are lay people ie the majority part of the people of God which is constituted by lay people - as is notorious  -  by the people baptized lay: faithful to Christ and His Church that is the Church one holy catholic and apostolic of Rome, ie the Church that has as Its Supreme Pastor the Bishop of Rome .

I, as a baptized a Catholic layman, I would like all clerics, including the diocesan clergy, they live a life as that of the clerics regular.

I would then (and with particular reference to who is admitted by the competent authorities of the Church to the second of the three clerical grades) than to receive Holy Orders Priesthood are obliged to make the solemn promise of perpetual vows of the evangelical counsels of the chastity, of the poverty, of the obedience in fidelity to Christ and His Catholic Church.

I refer of course to the diocesan clergy that in this can not and should not be different from the regular clergy.

Only in this way, the clergy of the Catholic church can redeem itself and only then can become a true beacon that illuminates the whole people of God present and potential.

Good morning, Bishop Milingo.

I received Your umpteenth communication. Thank you. Let me answer it this time too, as I think about these issues, that is raise by You.

We can all make mistakes but if to err is human, to persist is devilish.

What many of us lay people baptized in the Catholic Church of Rome ask to the various categories of clergy is very different from the clerical celibacy and from the psychosexual orientation of this or that cleric.

Certainly the function of celibacy is only one component of the renunciation of secular life that the Christian that is called to become a cleric must do and must  witness

But celibacy is not the only component that characterizes the life of a cleric and personally I am opposed to any operation of clericalization of life of the laity and to any operation of secularization of clerical life.

Very  important , in my opinion, however it is the obedience of the clergy to their bishops and that bishops are in communion with the Bishop of Rome.

Very important is obey, obey their superiors at all costs.

I think this is the first sign of ecclesial life, in Church life until such there will be a hierarchical Church

Sure would be nice, very nice,  that would be  that the representatives of the Church hierarchy, beginning by the Bishops, they testify the love for Christ and for His Catholic Church testifying in concrete

the their love for the poverty

the their love for the chastity

the their love for the obedience

the their common  union in Christ and in Its Catholic Church with the Pope on the government of the lay faithful baptized people of God in the Catholic Church.

For me it is incomprehensible and inexcusable that representatives of the Church hierarchy  give a testimony of dissolute life and contrary to the testimony of life in the Church that are called to give for example the baptized (men and women)  that are part of the Institutes of Consecrated Life and of Societies of Apostolic Life

We must all support the love for the common good and show the love or the charity but the charity of Christ and not the psychosexual love

There is love and love, but there is only one charity: that of Christ and His Catholic Church.

Surely the witness of the charity assumes a different dimension for those who are invested in holy orders and on ministerial priesthood  and for those who are baptized in the catholic Church but that are lay people

And at very fort reason.

Because  who is invested in holy orders and in ministerial priesthood has a duty, a duty stronger than of  the duty of the laity, of have is called as a witness of the charity according to the ministerial priesthood: bear witness to Christian charity and to the common faith of the Catholic Church as who that is a Guide Sacred in the theological matter of God's people and not only as a member of the People of God ie a lay baptized member in the Catholic Church .

Here lies the real problem, dear Bishop Milingo: they who have sacred function of hierarchical guide  on the theological matter in the Holy Roman Apostolic Catholic Church they can not count on being at the same time similars or equals with reference in their duties with the duties of those who are guided and that are lay people ie the majority part of the people of God which is constituted by lay people - as is notorious -  by the people baptized lay: faithful to Christ and His Church that is the Church one holy catholic and apostolic of Rome, ie the Church that has as Its Supreme Pastor the Bishop of Rome

Here lies the grave responsibility of Bishops and other Ordinaries of the Latin Catholic Church (CJC 1983) and of the Patriarchs and other Ordinaries in the various Eastern Catholic Churches (CCEO 1990).

Here lies the grave responsability also of the all other components of the clergy: the priests and the deacons.

Open letter of 26 May 2012 to Pope Benedict XVI written by a baptized lay man, Italian and European citizen

TO  HIS HOLINESS 'THE BISHOP OF ROME, POPE BENEDICT XVI

Holiness, good day and good Saturday.

It 's difficult, very difficult, having to take note of everything that is happening in the institutions of the Government of the Apostolic See and of the Vatican State: a Vatican  that would have been very better if this had never become a State after the 1870 (the breach of Porta Pia) and in particularly  with the agreements (Treaty of the Lateran and the Lateran Concordats) 11 February 1929 .

The Vatican State has become a heavy weight for the whole of the universal Catholic Church: for the Latin Catholic Church and for the Eastern Catholic Churches.

For years - this is known to His Holiness since the time in which His Holiness was the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and Dean of the Sacred College - I ask the following things:

the free and democratic and autonomous creation  of  the profession Order of Barristers and Solicitors (Rotal Lawyers) of the Apostolic Tribunals in the Vatican; the free and democratic and autonomous  creation of the professional Orders of Lawyers and Solicitors (not Rotal Lawyers) of the Ecclesiastical Tribunals in the world, Nation for Nation;  free elections in the  professional Orders above mentioned;  and the appointment of lay Barristers (Rotal Lawyers)  as lay judges "a latere "  in the litigation processes of matrimonial nullity and in the administrative processes of matrimony "ratified and not consummated "; and make it well known to all the people of God that the legal institution of the matrimonial separation is existing and is contemplated in the Catholic Church since the entry in force Code Plan Benedictine  of 1917 , and that has been innovated in the current Code of 1983 for the Catholic Church Latin and that was introduced in the current Code of 1990 for the Eastern Catholic Churches

the creation of a Congregation for the Laity, in analogy to the existing  Congregations of the Clergy, of the Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (catholic baptized persons,  men and women, who have promised to God to remain faithful to their vows of "poverty" "chastity" "obedience", vows or evangelic counsels),  of the  Bishops

the recognition (inter alia provided since the entry into force of the Code of Canon Law of 1983) of social security rights and of retirement for all Barristers (Rotal Lawyers) and Lawyers  authorized for this function in the courts of the universal Catholic Church

the fight to the sale of <res sacrae>

the revival of a clerical style more suited to the clerical function that is required to have a clergy that is spiritual guide of "the people of God" - and therefore less vanity, not a luxury car, not love of mammon (we do not claim the radicality but at least the mean of the sobriety)

the termination of clerical domination (minority of the people of God) over God's people that consists in its majority by lay persons baptized or awaiting baptism

the respect of poverty and the cessation of the secularization of the clergy and of the clericalization of the life of the lay baptized, proposing as ideal model of priesthood <not ministerial> a ministerial priesthood that unfortunately does not seem to get the headlines of national and international news as light and splendour and the testimony of verity and morality except that the clergy seems wanting to appear always at all costs martyr of who knows what scams operated by lay people

the fight against corruption clerical abusing of the so-called popular faith, confusingly combined with fetishism, idolatry, polytheism, the improper deification of many  human persons (men and women), that after dead are elevated to a symbol of beatitude  and / or of sanctity but  that unfortunately they are used for abuse and misuse of the good faith of many of the people of God as  occasion of an economic speculation, much bordering on paganism and idolatry, rather than are as occasion for the invitation to follow Christ

termination of the Vatican State as a State , and redistribution of all substances of the A.P.S.A. and of the I.O.R. to the  various structures of the <hierarchical Church> and the <Church is not hierarchical>  that exist in the world, with priority to charitable structures and to the pontifical Universities and  to the catholic Universities  and  to the catholic Faculties and to other Catholic schools and training Institutions of all types and levels - purgation of the Papal Legates, so that the Papal Legates are only  representatives of the Supreme Pastor of the Church "one" "holy" "catholic and apostolic"  of Rome and not (also) of Head the Vatican State - with resulting purgation of active and passive Papal Legation - repeal of the structures of the Military Ordinariates in the world, structures that are/have a confused role "statist-spiritual"  and ecclesiastical structures increasingly in odour of serious interference by Vatican State (with his clerical Government)   against State Governments and against the military strategic interests of various civil Governments at nationally and internationally  rather than in odour being at the service of peace between peoples and nations in the world.

Stop to the temporal power of the Rome Bishop and stop also to temporal power of the Bishops which together with the Pope govern the people of God, they govern the faithful of Christ, the Mystical Body of Christ that is the Catholic Church of Rome.

We, baptized in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit on the Catholic Church of Rome, we  want

a  Catholic  very spiritual Church,

a Catholic Church that is far from the petty intrigues of economic and financial nature,

a Catholic Church that is away from commercial traffic not only  of <res sacrae> but from any commercial traffic,

a Catholic Church that is  away from "Mammon",

a Catholic Church where the Basic Law is the New Commandment, as Your Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI reminded us in His enthronement speech):

New Commandment

that we have been personally witnessed by Jesus Christ and who was entrusted by Christ to His first Apostles and transmitted to us by His Apostles first, today - today, 2012, in this space and in this time –

as True Tradition,  theological philosophical spiritual moral ethic legal,

by the Bishops Pastors in the Holy Roman Catholic Church in common union with the Bishop of Rome, that in the the centuries of Church history is legal Successor to the First of the Apostles of Christ,  Petro, followed at a distance by the Apostle John, the beloved Apostle (The Gospel of John, 21, 20-22 ,The Holy Bible, Official Version C.E.I. , Rome 2005, p. 1083).

And we want a Clerical class truly representative of the charisma of Christ and of the charisma of the first Apostles of Christ.

We lay men and women who we have been baptized in the Roman Catholic Church, that is the Church of Christ, we have this sacred right. So this sacred right was recognized by the Council Fathers with the Second Vatican Council.

And  I permits me invoke in front of all the competent Authorities of the Catholic Church -  and so in the first place in front of You, His Holy Father, Holy Bishop of Rome and Supreme Pastor of the whole Catholic Church of Latin law and law Eastern  - as a baptized in the Catholic Church of Rome that all competent and legitimate authority of the hierarchical Catholic Church fully recognize this sacred holy right to all the people (present and potential) of the people God,  One and Triune God, of the faithful of Christ and of the Church of Christ, Our true Lord and Our Saviour.

With heart, I confirming myself  to  Your personal and institutional arrangement, Holy Father, and to the whole His Roman Curia.
